Fall Styled Sink
One of my favorite areas to decorate for each season is my sink. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen so it’s nice to have all the cozy Fall vibes around me. This year I decided to use mustard yellow for my Fall accent color. Yellow to me is such a cheerful color and it definitely lifts your spirits. So let me share a few added accents I used for my Fall styled sink.
I haven’t had a chance to go pumpkin pickin’ yet so I was sure to pick up some new pumpkins to add to my collection. I recommend that the decor on your counters is wipeable just in case a splatter occurs while you’re cooking near your decor. So for instance these ceramic pumpkins from Target are perfect for the counter space because they can easily be wiped off. They also come in blue, rust, and orange if you’re looking for colorful pumpkins.
I’m also love having a pedestal for my soaps and scrub brush. It helps keep the counter from getting too wet. I noticed with the soap tray I used to use it would just get water trapped underneath it and then create mildew. YUCK! I scored this pedestal from Marshals on clearance. It’s nice and heavy with a stone plate on top of a wood base. It also helps break up the white on our counters as well. You can shop all of these sink accessories down below.
I love having an arrangement near the sink. This year I decided to put billy buttons and cotton stems together. I love the contrast between the two. We had billy buttons incorporated in my wedding bouquet and on our boutonnieres so they are always a lovely reminder to me when I see them. You can also gather some free fall foliage from your yard as well. I plan on doing this once the leaves start to change color.
I added just a pop of color with my tea towel. I’ve searched and searched for a Fall tea towel but just haven’t come across one I’m in love with, so I decided to use this mustard yellow one I picked up from Target a few years back.
Can we all agree that Fall has the best scents for candles? Y’all know me…I have to have a candle burning at all times! For this year’s Fall styled sink I went with an Antique Candle Co. candle in the scent pumpkin spice. It’s such a yummy scent and in my opinion the most powerful throw in their fall line. I placed it inside of a cylinder vase with white rocks on the bottom to add in some texture. The glass vase also gives it some added ambiance and keeps the candle from getting too hot on a surface. You could also add a wreath underneath the vase for another pop of color. I just haven’t found the right size yet for this vase.
I get a lot of mixed opinions about our TV being in the kitchen but it works for us and who doesn’t love to watch Friends while making dinner? So I found a nice Fall screensaver to put on during the day. If you have a ROKU you can easily find loads of free screen savers for each season. That way your TV becomes art.
