Bathtub Essentials
Creating a space for you to escape and unwind is essential. Everyone needs that time to themselves to relax and let all their worries fade away. For me, the bathtub is just that little sanctuary. I take my bath time routine very seriously and I’d love to share a few of my must have bathtub essentials for creating the perfect getaway.
Tub Trays
This idea is so brilliant. It allows you to bring in a magazine, a book or watch your favorite show while you’re relaxing. I found mine on Amazon. It was very reasonable and it has really held up great! I was worried about metal ones leaving marks so I do recommend this wood tray. If you’re a wine drinker this one even has a wine glass holder!
Candles
Setting the mood around your tub and creating a cozy ambiance is a must. Therefore candles are perfect for that. If you don’t want an open flame you can certainly buy the battery operated ones like these as well.
Bath Salts or Bath Bombs
I’m not one for a lot of bubbles. I much prefer bath salts or bath bombs. I also like to display mine in an apothecary jar to make it nice and aesthetically pleasing. I like to keep it nice and clean around the tub. Having things too cluttered makes me feel a bit anxious.
Plush Towels
I love picking up a nice heavy plush towel after a long bath, and these from Target are my absolute favorite. They have a nice weight to them and are great quality. We’ve had them for almost 6 years now, and they are still going strong!
Plants
Placing a plant near your tub is a wonderful way to bring in some decor to this space. If you don’t get sunlight in your tub area you can certainly use a faux plant instead. I think a touch of greenery really helps relax you and brings your mood up.
Lighting
Be sure you have the right lighting when you’re setting up your bathroom for bath time. If your bathroom doesn’t have a warm soothing light above, you can certainly bring in a small lamp or create a dim light with candles.

Now go get a glass of wine or your favorite beverage and relax in your new styled tub!
Also, I’m still on the hunt for a good bath pillow that doesn’t get dingy. If you have any suggestions I’d love to know.
Thanks for flying by friend!
