Valentine’s Day Tablescape
Happy Valentine’s Day Weekend! I decided to throw together a last minute Valentine’s Day tablescape because I was feeling a little festive! It had been awhile since I’ve done a holiday tablescape and it’s probably one of my favorite things to create.
This year I figured I would DIY my table runner. I had seen this idea on Pinterest a few years back and always wanted to execute it myself. All I did was grab a roll of craft paper and some white paint and just started painting x’s and o’s mixed in with a few hearts for good measure. This is a fun activity that you could even do with your kiddos.
I then hit up my favorite spot for tablescapes. You guessed it…Dollar Tree! If you really look you can get some good staples to use on your table. I grabbed some vases, glasswear, frames, doilies, and cute paper cups.
I was going to use real flowers but honestly I wasn’t having anyone over, and my cat Sunny D. would be the only one to really enjoy them. I can’t keep him off of our real floral arrangements. He’s on them like white on rice. When you’re doing faux florals you can easily mix in candle tapers to be the star of the show.
I’ve been wanting to use this candelabra for quite sometime. I busted out my battery operated tapers because I was a little nervous it being so close to our chandelier. I then added some real tapers and a few votives to give a romantic ambiance. I can’t wait to see this table at night time.
For the place settings I used mini frames from Dollar Tree, pink construction paper and a gold metallic pen to write the names of my guests. Hopefully my “Friends” will show up. Wink wink!
I think my favorite part are the candy cups. I just took these cute pink and gold cups along with a heart doily and put in some chocolate Hershey’s Kisses and some strawberry Starbursts. I mean, it’s not Valentine’s Day without candy right?
The other day Chris and I popped into an antique store after lunch and I just happend to find the perfect set of pink napkins. I swear I manifested them the night before. I was laying in bed thinking that I would really like to find some cloth pink napkins for the tablesscape in the perfect Millennial pink. Low and behold there they were in that store just waiting for me. I couldn’t believe it!
To make your beverage glasses extra special be sure to give them a fun garnish. I used three heart gummies and just slid them on a toothpick with a fun gold bead I found at Dollar Tree. It’s just extra touches like this that will make your tablescapes shine!
I have a fun video on Instagram if you’d like to check it out! I hope y’all have a very Happy Valentine’s Day! Love y’all!
Thanks for flying by!
xoxo,
Robyn
