DIY Ribbon Wreath
Every season I spend hours searching for the right wreath for our front door, and never really find any I’m absolutely crazy about, or want to spend a fortune on. This Spring I decided to make my own simple DIY Ribbon Wreath. There is something so fun about making your very own creation. This is such an easy one too! You could even do this project with your kiddos!

I decided to go with a blue, pink, cream, and khaki theme for my Spring Wreath. You can certainly chose your own theme to coordinate with your home or occasion. The possibilities are endless!

What You’ll Need:
- Wreath to fit your size door. I went with a 20 inch this time, but I certainly could go larger. I chose an outdoor friendly wreath that has UV protection. This one can easily transition into Summer as well. I really liked how green and thick it was.
- 8-10 cuts of ribbon of your choosing of varied widths (I will try and link all the ribbon I used for this particular wreath below.)
- Scissors
- Scotch Guard

For my 20 inch wreath I cut the ribbon length at 55 inches. This gave me enough hang down, and enough space to secure behind the wreath. You can certainly cut them using the triangle method, but for this project I just cut them on an angle.

After I cut my ribbon I secured the strands in the middle with a skinny strand of ribbon. I then attached the excess ribbon to the loop hanger on the back of the wreath. I wanted the waterfall effect to occur at the very top of the wreath to give it volume. You could also add a bow at the very top of it if you’d like as well.

Outdoor Wreath Tip:
Because this wreath will be outside on our covered porch I still wanted the ribbon to last outside with the elements. I lightly sprayed the ribbons with Scotch Guard. (Be sure to test a small area or clip of your ribbon before spraying with Scotch Guard to be sure it doesn’t damage the ribbon)

That’s all y’all! Can you believe how easy this is? You can easily switch out your ribbons for each holiday. This would be so adorable for a wedding or baby shower as well.

I filmed a short video of this DIY Ribbon Wreath over on my Instagram if you’d like to check it out!
