Summer Must Haves
Let’s play some Summer tunes shall we?! Cue Yacht Rock!
Lately I’ve been trying to think of things that I can’t live without during the Summer months. They just make life a little easier in the hot months. So here’s my Summer Must Haves for 2022.
With warmer months upon us one thing that is inevitable are mosquitos. My favorite bug spray is made by OFF. It’s not oily or greasy and dries down in a powder formula. The scent is faint and not super overpowering.
If I do end up getting a mosquito bite this lavender and camomile rollerball works like a charm. After you get a bite just roll this essential oil on and the bite will dissipate in a matter of an hour. I was out with Kato this morning and forgot to put bug spray on and got bit 6 times and I rolled this one each bite and now the bites are gone.
If you have a dog and don’t have a pool like us, this one is perfect! We bought it last Summer and I’m so glad we did. It easily folds up after each use and it doesn’t take up a ton of space when not in use. Kato isn’t super into it but it helps on those hot days while you’re outside or after a long walk for them to cool down.
This sun visor has great coverage for your face when you’re outside. I always wear SPF but I love having double coverage. The visor allows you to wear your hair up in a ponytail or bun which I love. It comes in a variety of different colors as well. You can also get it with or without the bow as well.
Speaking of SPF my favorite CC cream from IT Cosmetics offers 50 SPF which wonderful. I love the coverage it has while not feeling overly drying or greasy. All you need is CC cream, mascara and some lip gloss and you’re good to go for that no makeup makeup look.
I picked up this water bottle from Wal-Mart and have been absolutely loving it. In my opinion there is no reason to purchase a $40-$50 thermos or tumbler. This one is under $15 and works just as well. I love the straw option because I tend to drink more through a straw. It has kept ice in it for 2 days straight. Before bedtime I’ll fill it up just in case I need a drink of water through the night. I also love waking up and drinking down ice cold water to wake me up. So refreshing!
These are my favorite Summer sandals by far. I purchased them two years ago and continue to go back to them. You can easily wear them to the beach, lake, pool without them getting gross because they wash off so nice. I have the black and white pair but I’m thinking about getting a fun color this season. At $10 you can’t beat it! The moss green are kind of calling my name!
Is there anything more classic than an L.L. Bean canvas tote for Summer? I love that they make them with zippered tops so if they do tip over you don’t lose everything. And of course you have to get it monogrammed.
A nice pair of plastic sunglasses are essential this Summer. I absolutely love these Le Specs Big Deal Sunglasses. They go with everything because they clear but have a camel color to them. I just added them to my cart. I love the squared off style.
We bought these Melamine plates last Summer and to be quite honest we use them daily. They are so light weight and perfect for lunches on the porch or when you’re eating casually outdoors this Summer. They look like stoneware so they give a classic effortless look when you’re setting the table. They come in a variety of other colors as well.
To go along with your dinner’s outside this Summer this wipeable tablecloth from Hearth and Hand looks like a great staple for your tablescapes. It’s got a classic look that would got with many different styles.
If you are serving food outdoors there is nothing worse than flies landing on your food so be sure to get a dome for your food just like this one from the Hearth and Hand line. I love the wooden detail on it! So functional yet beautiful!
Bistro lights always have my heart. I love coming home to our courtyard at night and seeing it all lit up with these solar powered bistro lights. We leave them up year round. We’ve had them for two years and haven’t had any issues with them. They create such a nostalgic and warm ambiance to any space. You can read more about them here.
Thank you so much for flying by today! I wish you all a very happy and safe Summer!
xoxo,
Robyn
