Farmhouse Paint Colors

I think the number one question that I get asked on a daily basis is “What color are your walls?”. So I figured it was best to hop on and write about it already! Keep in mind I am a lover of gray. From gray walls to gray clothes…that’s just my jam. All of these paint colors are wonderful farmhouse paint colors, at least that’s what Pinterest told me.

When we were choosing a wall color for our living room and kitchen I knew I wanted something neutral but not white, beige, or gray. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone a little bit. So I took to Pinterest and kept seeing this one color appeal to me over and over again, Oyster Bay by Sherwin Williams. It’s a wonderful neutral in my opinion. It takes on different colors during the day and night all depending on the light. And the best thing is, everything goes with it! It’s the best grayish green that I have seen out there. I love it with our contrasting white trim and kitchen cabinets.

With the daylight it takes on more of a grayish green tone and at night with the yellow ambient light we have in our home it’s definitely more of a warm green.

The other paint color I’m obsessed with in our home is our bedroom wall color, Sherwin Williams Mindful Gray. Its also very neutral and is the best greige color out there, in my opinion of course. It is more on the warm spectrum of grays. I think they add maroon and gold to the black and white if I’m not mistaken. It’s not too dark and not too light for a bedroom. Juuusst Right!

Another favorite is this lighter gray called Sedate Gray by Sherwin Williams, which is in our front living room and breakfast nook. It’s definitely more on the warm side that almost comes across as a light greige.

If you are wanting a pop of color to your interior doors, this is one of my favorites. Of course I’m partial to the name of it, Robin’s Egg Blue by Rethunk Junk by Laura. This to me is the most cheerful shade of blue. Our front door pretty much sold me on our house since it’s so unique, but once I painted the interior of it this Robin’s Egg Blue I just fell in love with it even more. By the way this paint is awesome. It has great coverage and their color selection is amazing!

Lastly are our bathroom cabinets. Before they were just a builder grade walnut color. So for these I chose to paint them in Clark and Kensington’s Garden Stone. It’s a nice light gray with bluish undertones. Since our master bath and guest bath are both a light glass blue I thought this one would coordinate the best. I do love to paint. However, I will never paint cabinets again. I think if I had a paint sprayer that would obviously be easier, but cabinets I’m leaving to the professionals next time.

Thank you so much for stopping by my nest! If you have any questions please feel to leave me a comment below.

Have a wonderful weekend friends!

xoxo,

Robyn
