How to Create a Gallery Wall
Since I haven’t shared much of our upstairs loft area I thought I would update y’all on what I’ve been up to lately. I’ve been on a little hiatus from my projects and blogging lately since my regular 9 to 5 kicked into high gear around the holidays. Its good to be back at it! I’ve been debating this back wall in our loft for quite some time just because its so dang big! So of course I took to Pinterest and decided to do a gallery wall since I couldn’t decide on any one thing. Believe it or not I found ALL of the pieces at Hobby Lobby. I waited until all of these items were 50% to save the most. I will add up everything and give y’all the total cost for this project. I think all in all its a cohesive collection that goes along with the gray, black, gold and white accents we have in the rest of the room. The fun thing is that you can always change out a piece or two with holiday appropriate pieces just to keep the look ever changing. I’m one to always switch things up around the house. My husband can attest to this for sure. I’m pretty sure I get it from my grandma and mom. They are always rearranging things around their houses. There is nothing better than coming home to a newly arranged space to make it feel new and exciting again.
I recommend sketching out your plan before just going ham with the hammer and nails. Here is my original plan, and as you can see it was modified a little once all the items came. I just arranged them on the floor before putting them up to get an idea of what looked best where. I don’t like to get too anal with measurements. In my experience I have a harder time taking measurements than actually just eye balling it. But if you are a perfectionist..measure away!
