“Sweet Tea and Biscuits on Blimps” y’all! If you know where that quote is from we can be friends! Today I’m sharing my super easy sweet tea recipe! I was born and raised in Summerville, SC also known as the “Birthplace of Sweet Tea” so over the years I have really tried to perfect my recipe. I hope y’all enjoy!!
Ingredients:
4 Lipton Iced Tea Bags
1 1/2 cups cane sugar
Water & Ice
Directions:
1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
2. Place 4 Lipton Tea bags down in a gallon pitcher.
3. Pour hot water over tea bags and let steep for 15 minutes.
4. While that’s brewing go ahead and make your simple syrup.
5. Take 1 1/2 cups water and 1 1/2 cups sugar in a small measuring cup and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Set aside.
6. After 15 minutes remove your tea bags and pour in your simple syrup.
7. Stir well to combine.
8. Top off the pitcher with ice and cold water until the pitcher is at capacity.
9. Pour tea over ice and enjoy!
