How To Make a Bow • Robyn's Southern Nest

I think the easiest way to teach you how to make a bow is by showing you from my perspective. Watch my detailed YouTube video below of how I easily create my Christmas bows.

A Few Easy Tips:

Always use wired ribbon when you’re making bows. This way it will keep it’s shape and not be slouchy.
Always pre-cut your floral wire before making the bow.
Use sharp scissors dedicated to ribbon cutting. Even if you have to label them and keep them somewhere special.
Practice. It’s taken me years of practice to perfect my bows. With a little patience you can be an expert bow maker in now time!
Cut a small piece of ribbon to hide the middle and to create the illusion of a loop in the middle and secure with your floral wire.
